I wanted to give you a heads up regarding a change in the code behind Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) business type from 8A to 8W. Some customers were confusing/associating the business type code of 8A with the SBA Certified 8(a) Program Participant and/or Joint Venture.

The modification will take place tomorrow morning April 22, 2011 at 0730 hours. There will be no down time to the website. Existing registrations containing WOSB will automatically be converted from 8A to 8W and new will begin recording 8W for WOSB.
